Introduction to Sharon Pearah

Let me share three unique core capabilities that I bring to the table: First, as a human resources professional, I've been helping Fortune 500 corporate leaders be more effective since 2001. Though training and one-on-one consultation, I’ve helped them clarify goals, get better at influencing, negotiating and resolving conflict and leading their organizations through major changes. I can help you hone your skills in these and many other areas so you can quickly and easily take action steps to reach your personal and professional goals. Second, I’ve spent over 20 years researching and practicing the tools and techniques of mindfulness, positive psychology, emotional intelligence and applied neuroscience to improve my own performance and increase my own sense of well-being. I will draw from this extensive toolkit in our coaching sessions to help you break through any internal obstacles that may be blocking the road between you and the results you want. Third, I am a graduate of a rigorous coach-training program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). You can feel confident that I adhere strictly to the ICF Code of Ethics and that I possess the professional skills required to partner with you in designing a results-oriented course of action.

What does "Approved" mean?

Close

An "Approved Coach" is someone who has completed a requisite number of hours specifically in coaching training with a verified coach training provider. An "Approved Student" is someone who has completed some specific coach training, but has not yet completed the requisite number of hours.

Coach training is verified by ReciproCoach, an international community of coaches who coach coaches. A coach's membership to this community, especially if they have recent feedback displayed below their profile, is the ultimate guarantee of the competency of a coach. Not only does it demonstrate their ability to coach another coach, but it is also a testament to their professional credibility as a coach who regularly engages in the process of being coached, thereby advancing their own personal and professional development.

Note: Coach training is different to training in any other helping service, including counselling, consultancy and training and development. All "Approved Coaches" and "Approved Students" have be trained to facilitate coaching as a process in its own right. Coaching can be defined as, "a goal-directed, multi-faceted process for enhancing people, work and life" (Griffiths, 2008).
