Overcoming Fears in Business

If you’ve been building your coaching business for a while, there’s a good chance you already know many of the things you should be doing.

You know you need to have more conversations with prospective clients. Ask for referrals. Get clearer about your fees and packages. Market yourself consistently. Spend time working on your business, not just coaching the clients you already have.

So why aren’t you doing it?

The problem isn’t always a lack of business knowledge. Sometimes, it’s fear.

Fear of selling. Fear of charging too much. Fear of putting yourself out there. Fear of getting it wrong. Fear of rejection. Even fear of committing fully to treating your coaching practice as a business.

And fear doesn’t always feel like fear. It can look like spending another month refining your website. Thinking a little longer about your niche. Waiting until you feel more confident. Taking another course. Or simply putting off that uncomfortable business-building task until next week.

Which means that learning more about business isn’t necessarily the answer. What may be more useful is understanding what is stopping you from doing what you already know, and having the support to do something about it.

This is exactly why we’re bringing back Overcoming Fears in Business Peer Coaching for a fourth round.

The program combines Dermot Butterly’s Mini Business Building Course for Coaches with ReciproCoach peer coaching. Six short video classes explore selling and serving, creating paid clients, coaching fees, referrals, coaching packages and running your coaching practice like a business. Combined with six sessions with your own peer coach, and your peer coaching client, you’ll have the opportunity to overcome the fears that are holding you back from taking your coaching business to the next level, and support another coach to do the same.

You can find out more about Overcoming Fears in Business Peer Coaching, including what the six video sessions cover and what past participants have said about the experience. Or, if you already know that this is what you need to help close the gap between knowing and doing in your coaching business, register now.

You probably don’t need to know everything about business before you can build a successful coaching practice. But if fear is keeping you from acting on what you already know, another piece of information may not be what you need.

Perhaps what you need is the opportunity to explore what’s getting in the way, alongside two of your peers who are doing the same.
