Are there any other ongoing costs?
You only pay when you join a round. One round may involve up to 6 hours of coaching, 3 hours of mentoring or one or more sessions of group mentoring or supervision.
Why is the coaching, mentoring and supervision so inexpensive?
As a ReciproCoach, you only pay for the coordination of the round you join, not for the actual coaching, mentoring or supervision that you receive. Instead, you pay for the coaching, mentoring or supervision you receive, by giving the same to another ReciproCoach in the community.
Therefore, the small round entry fee you pay, whether by annual membership or pay-as-you-go, simply supports the development of the online ReciproCoach platform and covers the time your coordinator spends matching you up with the appropriate reciprocal partners, as well as external monitoring of all reciprocal relationships so that all ReciproCoaches give and receive equally. For supervision, your round entry fee covers the time your coordinator spends organizing, preparing for and the effort involved in facilitating group meetings via teleconference.
What is the difference between paying as you go and buying a membership?
Our memberships offer you the best value for money. They give you entry into a pre-determined number of rounds per year and also a discount on additional purchases. If you know what your professional development needs are for the next year, then you'll be best off choosing a membership to suit you, as this will usually save you at least 20%. If you're not sure what your professional development needs are, however, then you can just pay as you go. When you pay as you go, you pay full price. If this is reciprocal coaching than why does cost me to participate when I'm coaching in return for the coaching I receive?
Good question!
What you pay to participate in ReciproCoach allows this service to exist. Without your payment, there'd be no website and no-one to coordinate the match-making or to monitor all the relationships so that everyone gives and receives equally. The fee for this service however is much less than the cost of one coaching session and coaching a coach is not only your payment for the coaching you receive, but it's probably one of the best form of professional development you can do.
Think of it like a romantic match-maker... you don't pay for the love itself, but you do pay for the match-maker to find you a potential love and connect you with the person. We go a little further though and also monitor all coaches in our community to make sure everyone is giving and receiving equally.
Most coaches find the service is invaluable. It works better than coaching triads or buddy coaching, because we select a coach from a larger pool of hundreds of coaches and you get the opportunity to list your preferences and make requests. Plus, you are never asked to coach and be coached by the same person. You are always assigned two different people to work with. One person is assigned to be your coach and the other, your client.
Is it possible to use ReciproCoach Cash towards a membership purchase?
ReciproCoach Cash can only be used towards rounds registration or the purchase of business resources. It cannot be used towards ReciproCoach memberships, as ReciproCoach Cash is often given freely and ReciproCoach memberships already include significant discounts.
Do you have any kind of affiliate program?
We have a rewards program. That means that every time someone joins ReciproCoach and says that you referred them, you get a free coin when they make their first purchase. Your free coins may be used to join coaching, mentoring or supervision rounds or for any of the ReciproCoach resources.
Why do I have to pay if I have free membership?
Our free lifetime membership offers you the opportunity to participate in our rewards program, which in turn makes free participation possible. Our free membership also allows you to make the most of our other free opportunities, such as our reciprocal memberships program, as well as our educational emails. Although we'd like to be able to offer this service for free (and we did during our first few years), for ReciproCoach to work successfully for thousands of coaches, as it currently does, it requires a significant amount of technological and human coordination that needs to be paid for. Having said this, we are always working to keep ReciproCoach financially accessible to everyone.
How much do I need to pay to join a round?
The price for each event is printed on the registration page. You are also likely to see "or one membership credit" as a payment option. In this case, you can purchase a ReciproCoach membership to save money on standard rounds and get further discounts.
How can I check my account to see how many credits/coins I have left?
You can always check your coin balance by logging into the member's area and under the Profile menu click on “Account“ and go to the “Membership“ tab.
How do I earn free coins as rewards for referrals?
The way the ReciproCoach rewards program works is when a new member joins and specifies you as the person who told them about ReciproCoach (our referral question is compulsory on signup and most people give full details thankfully – those who don’t, we follow up manually), then you get assigned as their referrer. Then, when they make their first purchase, a free coin gets deposited in your ReciproCoach account as a thanks for helping to grow our community. You'll get email notification when this happens. You may also like to make announcements about ReciproCoach in a coaching newsletter or at a meeting. In this case, as people often don't know your name, please let us know what you are doing, so that if someone mentions the event or newsletter, we know that you were responsible for that referral.
Can I convert a resource credit to a round credit?
No sorry, annual memberships give you entry into a specific number of rounds of a certain type. The pricing is based on how much it costs us to deliver it, and so resources credits and round entry credits are not easily interchangeable.
I paid to upgrade my membership last week, but my account has not upgraded.
This happens when you pay by echeque. Your account will only be upgraded after the funds have cleared, which can take around 5 days. If you didn't pay by echeque but your account still did not upgrade, then please email us and we'll correct the problem.
I only have one coin. Does this cover me for all of the sessions in the round?
Yes, the coins/credits buy you entry into the whole round, regardless of the number of sessions in the round. All you pay for with ReciproCoach is the matching process (and monitoring – we monitor all relationships through to completion). That’s why it’s just a one-time fee per round, regardless of how many sessions are involved, as you’re paying for your sessions by giving sessions to another coach and only paying us to make the connections and keep things running smoothly til the end.
How much does it cost?
The cost of participating in a ReciproCoach event depends on the event itself. You can see the full cost of all our events here. Alternatively, if you like to get the best value for money, you might like to consider one of our , which offer significantly discounted participation, as well as bonus extras.
Do credits or coins ever expire?
No, any credits on a member expire with the membership. All memberships are only
current for one year. This is why they get cheaper the more you take, as you are
using more in a one year period.
As for coins however, they never expire, so any coins on your account do carry over.
How can I pay for my next round of reciprocal coaching without opening a pay pal account?
You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay via PayPal. Instead, when you get to the payment page, there will be a small link somewhere on the page that says something like "Don't have a PayPal account?" or it might say "Pay by credit card". Click on the link and follow the prompts to pay by credit card.
Is it possible to pay via Paypal?
Yes, our payment system has the PayPal option.
Should I join ReciproCoach Singapore and what does the Singapore voucher code do?
The Singapore voucher code can be used upon sign up only. It is intended for members of ICF in Singapore. They simply receive a free business resource credit, which allows them to activate a one year subscription to one of the ReciproCoach business resources for free.
How do you collect referral information?
When people first login, they get a pop-up that asks them how they found out about ReciproCoach. It looks like this:

This window is shown every time they login until they answer it. We process the rewards manually and find we are processing many referrals on a daily basis. You will also receive an email each time one of your referrals mentions you as their referral.
How can I participate for free?
There are several ways to participate in the ReciproCoach community for free:

Can I save or print my receipts?
Yes. All you need to do is click on the transaction number, which is a link that take you to a receipt that you can save as a pdf or easily print from your browser.
I have a membership, but it's not showing me discounted prices on all rounds.
Membership discounts apply to standard rounds only. Membership discounts do not apply to special rounds that often include special resources.
